Please post your "About Me" stories under this thread, so that we have a central location to read about our history:) I've moved several over, but if you haven't taken the time yet to sit down and jot some notes, please do! Your guildmates ARE interested, and love reading about you!

My Story Posted by Xanthus on 9/3/2002, 10:11 pm User logged in as: RoR
My family comes from a long line of blacksmiths out of Minoc, so thats what I had drilled into me day after day. I tried it and got pretty good before I realized I hated it. When I finally got up the nerve to tell my folks their answer was to disown me; so I left home and never looked back. Instead of all that hot miserable smoke and hot metal, I wanted to be out in the clean country air. I had to find work so I came across some merchants needing wood (and paying pretty handsomly for a young lad), so I picked up an axe and never put it down again.
Wasn't long before I found myself near the city of Skara Brae, where all the rangers make fo a high demand on wood. Then I came across this one Ranger named Tiberius - told me he could use a steady hand for a continuous supply of wood. Not only did he pay decent, but he gave me a cot at his house, which was actually the upstairs of a Temple he founded.
Anyways, I chopped wood for him for a couple of years and during that time I'd hang out with ol' Philosopher Lucius while Tiberius and his wife Vega was out adventuring. Lucius taught me a lot about Tiberius' teachings, and I took to'em well. They helped me work out a lot of issues I had about my early family life.
I think Tiberius gets a little overly formal with it all. I mean, I believe in livin' right and all, but virtue don't come from no book, and it's not always as neat and pretty as he makes it out to be in his writings, once you get out in the real world. Still, Tiberius is a good man and I thank him for the time I worked for him.
Eventually, I decided it was time to make more than a lumberjack could make. One of the armorers in town was telling me one day about how lumberjacks have a special advantage in combat, since their use to swinging an axe. So here I am, decided to become an adventurer and see what else this axe can do for me. So far I'm pretty lousy, but I'll keep tryin' and we'll see.TEXT

Many of you know me; I am Soltan. For those who have not come to know me well, I shall say a few words about myself, and then I will tell you the tale of danger, and shared brotherhood. I am today a Ranger, in the truest sense of the word as I was taught it in my youth by Taliesin. I am a man of the woods and animals, and a man of music, and above all, a man of the bow. I have labored long and hard to earn my way in the world, and develop my skills to the furthest edge that manys sinews and reflexes allow. Perhaps later, I shall tell you in full the Tale of Soltan, but tonight let me summarize that I may speak of hunting... I was born in the islands to the far west of Britannia, northwest of skara brae. My parents I but dimly recall...they died when I was but a lad of 5, in an attack by what we call "The Fay" in the islands, or the Sidhe (pronounced shee) in mine own native tongue. Indeed, I have never heard of another such attack since then, but perhaps some of you might have heard tales from the far northwest, tales of small magical creatures like unto men commonly called "leprechauns". They are allied with the pixies though, and I do not misdoubt that the Forest Lord Oaks counts them as minions. Be that as it may, I will tell you now that the surface goodness of that spawn is NOT to be trusted!! Their goals are not ours, and their ways are strange and perilous to men--beware dealings with the Sidhe. To be sure, I was adopted by neighbors, who hailed from a land they called Eire, further out. They gave me a foolish name that I came to detest as I grew older; being fisherfolk, they named me after two small fish of the anchovy family found in the waters of the northern isles, the Cunnor and the Ling; you can read about them in the Book of Words yourself; more I'll not say. Sure and I was taunted and beaten as a boy though, and I vowed that one day I would earn another more noble name, when my deeds deserved it. Lately I have overheard Adian talking at the Syne of the Wyrm about names, and his wishes that the Gods of the land might intervene at times...well, I am here to tell you and he that indeed, at times the Gods do intervene. One day as I sat praying, the God known as GM Sunsword appeared to me. He took me to a terrible small cell, and was to leave me there to wither away to nothing. But, after fervent praying on my part, he did look and see that I had always been a pios youth, and therefore granted me life anew. To mark my rebirth and conversion to the path of Nobility, he granted me a new name, my great wish, and that is how I came to be known as Soltan. However, that is another story, which I'll tell in detail some other night. I grew to manhood in a sandy and desolate place called Nujelm, and it is from here that I take my manners. Long before the Fall of Trinsic, and the Sundering of Trammel, I began practice with the bow, and training in the bardic arts. In those days, Town Criers were endowed by the Gods with superhuman healing, but were in turn rooted to the spot for their tour of duty. I worked out a deal with a Town Crier named Balthezar who worked in the far far outback of Nujelm. He was lonely, and desired company and entertainment during his long posting; I agreed to play my music and sing tales for him, in return for letting me practice my archery upon him! 'Twas a wonderful deal, and my skills grew rapidly over the years, playing, singing, and shooting undying Balthezar in the arse. Since achieving manhood, I have wandered far and in great danger. Indeed, I lived for nigh on two years day in and day out in the terrible dungeons known as Terrathan Keep and Destard, in the old decaying lands of Felucca. Here I hunted both man and beast: the ignoble traitors to mankind known as "LuT", a guild of deviant corpse robbers, and the creatures of the Cold Blood...dragons, drakes, and wyverns. It was while guarding the decaying corpse of one of your RoR brethren that I first came to know of you, and found that the path I walked, though solitary and in dangerous darkness, need not always be walked alone. That is enough for now, let me fill my mug while you relieve yourself outside--I see you fidgeting--and I will tell you another tale.

About me Posted by Jaegar on 9/3/2002, 6:50 pm User logged in as: RoR
I reposted the story up here so people would be able to read it again.
I grew up learning the art of the sword from many of those whom I traveled with. The lands were extremely harsh back then. You couldnt wonder out of a town without someone attacking you. I had to learn to defend myself quickly in order to survive. As I walked the roads of the many towns I visited, I saw warriors with the title of Glorious Lord. I was intrigued by this so I set my path to become a great swordsman with this title. I joined a guild that called themselves the Paladins of Justice lead by Daene Bardez. We trained many days and nights to better our skills. We would hunt the Ophidian snakes that roamed the wastelands being wary of all around us. We always watched each others backs fearing the blue killers would strike any moment. Several years and two guilds later, I am now resting safely and partially retired in my home near Trinsic as a member of Rangers of the Realm. Ive learned throughout my travels its not the fame that counts but the friendship and trust you develop with each other.
Yours Truly The Great Jaegar 5x GM
I will gladly help anyone who needs training in swordsmanship, parry, and archery. Send me a birdy at ICQ# 56802839

The Story Of a begining. Posted by Shade on 8/19/2002, 9:42 am User logged in as: RoR
As Taylor likes to look at things through clouded eyes he has asked me to tell the tale of our lost heritage. From the earliest parts of our memories we can remember growing up in the forrests around Yew however there is little we can actually recall before the terrible night the vile orcs raided the farms we lived in. There was little we could do as we were very young and only new how to farm and tend cattle and sheep. The orcs slaughtered every man and woman in the homes and took the children as slaves. At this point I can only recite what Taylor has told us after we found him. The night of the raid a strange glowing orc took Taylor as his servant and in the years that passed Tay learned a thing or 2 about the magics the orc weilded by studying the books in the orcs library. After amny years Taylor had finally had enough and one night while his "master" slept Taylor took one of the knives from the cooking supplies and drove it through the heart of the vile creature and gathered up as much of the reagants and books as he could carry and snuck out of the camp to try and return home. While all of this was happening thanks to Taylors sacrifice myself, Sean, Fate, and Gabrielle managed to hide until the orcs were gone and make our way back to the abbey in Yew where we were raised by the monks. Learning our respective skills. I was a bit of an outcast from the monks with my strangley dark skin and a natural ability to hide in what seemed to me to be plain view I spent most of my time training with the gypsies to learn to survive in the wilds of the city. Gabrielle had a knack for healing and spent her time with the healers learning how to heal man and beast alike. Sean had a distate for all land after the atteck and learned to live as one with the see building a boat he began sailing with the dolphins and learning to hunt out treasures of the deeps. Fate never quite recovered after the attack and spent all of his time out in the woods and refusing to speak but the smallest amounts when needed. He became one with nature needing neither shelter nor food and seeming to be able to talk to the animals... After many years a strange man came to Yew looking mauch older than his actual years speaking of the dangers that sulked in the woods and many felt the man a bit touched in the head but he helped the gurds keep out the evil creatures and learned a lot from the mages that traveled through Yew he becam a respected member of the community and took up trade in a bit of tailoring to be able to afford the reagents needed to learn more magic. After a particularly nasty accident that leveled his home the man nearly died but Gabrielle tended his woulds and nursed him back to health. In the weeks she tended his wounds she got to know the man better than others and he often commented on how familiar she looked to him. They started talking of there pasts and soon realized that the man was her brother Taylor. With a few well placed pigeons and a bit of luck catching Sean in the abbey she gathered all of the Brothers to her home and introduced them to the brother they had lost. From that point the group decided it was time to see what the world could offer and one day as Taylor was out adventuring he was set upon a group of vile men that robbed and beat Taylor to the edge of death. After a bit of wandering aimlessly a strange man on a horse approached Taylor. Fearing for his life he tried to hide in the trees but the mounted man had already seen him and began weaving a spell Taylor recognized the spell and stepped out for the stranger to heal his wounds. After spending time with this man that introduced himself as Billamie Guild Master of the Rangers of the Spiritwoods They quickly became friends. One late day he took Taylor to a peninsula where a group of Rangers had gathered to rid the area of a few rather annoying murderous scum Taylor recognized the name of the men they hunted as the ones that had robbed him and left him for dead. With a desire for vengance Taylor asked these men if he could join them and help rid the land of these scum. The leader of this group liked the fire in The young would be mage and asked him if he would like to join the Rangers on a bit more than a hunt. And with a pledge to Live by the values of ROR Taylor brought forth his regained family and joined this family never once looking back and never fearing being alone again as Adian O'Rourke became another brother and with that the family that was slaughtered so long before became filled again with valiant warriors and craftsmen that cared for the lands as much as the good people of the lands. So if in reading this you ever doubt you will ever be alone remeber you always have family in the Rangers of the Realms.

Story of Fujiwara Posted by Fujiwara on 8/18/2002, 7:20 am User logged in as: RoR
Fujiwara find scribe in Britain Library, who put Fujiwara story into proper Britainnian, since Fujiwara no speak well... The Story of Fujiwara:
Fujiwara is a samurai from lands far to the east, outside of Britannia and off of known maps. He grew up in a small village, where his grandfather, Musashi, taught him the ways of wisdom and honor. His father (Saburo) and mother (Itchita) had been killed by the evil Shogun, Kobayashi, who conquered the eastern lands when Fujiwara was a child. Musashi would tell young Fujiwara that one day he would grow to become a noble samurai, so Fujiwara worked hard to fulfill his grandfather's wishes. Once Fujiwara was older, Musashi sent him to the Temple of Ken-jutsu Monks, where he learned discipline and some use of the Katana.
Then one day, the head Monk, Yamagura, sent Fujiwara on a grand quest for wisdom and enlightenment. So Fujiwara got on a boat and headed west into uncharted territory. But soon the waves grew higher as a bad storm approached. Although Fujiwara tried to hold on, he was tossed into the ocean.
The next thing he knew, he awoke in a strange land which he would later discover was the Isle of Moonglow in the land of Britannia. So there in Britannia, Fujiwara continued his quest for enlightenment and sought to fulfill his grandfather's wishes to become a powerful samurai.
He knew no one in these lands but soon encountered members of the Rangers of the Realm (RoR), who were a very kind and honorable people. Fujiwara joined this guild and served under Master Adian O'Rourke and Lord Draco de Falcon, who headed the Order of the Rose, within RoR. Fujiwara rose to the Rank of Knight and was recognized many times for his loyalty.
After many battles, Fujiwara has become a grand master warrior. Through his experiences, he is also becoming enlightened by the virtues of these people in RoR. However, Fujiwara will always maintain the codes of honor taugh by his grandfather, and continue to find new ways to fulfill the wisdom quest given him by his old Master Yamagura.

Many of ye 'ave asked in the past.. Where it is RoR began..Part one. Posted by Adian O'Rourke on 8/13/2002, 7:04 pm User logged in as: RoR
* lights the lantern on the granite table and opens the book to begin writing * The year according to the Tiberian Calender was 1.9bv.
A young friend of mine named Ericka Van'ammer was in search of a group. I m'self 'ad little use fer such things. It was during this time she made the aquaintance with a group known as the Ranger's of Spiritwood. It was led by a man named Billiamie.. Billiamie of RoR ye ask yerself? Aye it is.
The Rangers of Spiritwood 'ad been a large group in the lands fer some time and done some spectacular things in their time. The only problem was they were a dying breed. It seemed all the old members were starting ta retire. Yet Billiamie kept it alive through wisdom and strength. 'e recruited new members as 'e could, young Ericka being one of them.
Twas during this time i was nothing more than a trapper and woodsman living near Yew..Aye imagine it people.. Me splittin wood and taking 'ides ta market.. Twas the way i lived fer a time.
These were the days i refer to as the days of blood. Many a good man lost 'is blood to fool murderers.. My 'ome rested in the middle of them.
One day Ericka spoke to me and told me one of the RoS members were thinking of making another guild. One to defend the lands and fight fer what was right. 'is name was Ilkorin.
She urged i speak with this man and 'elp 'ouse 'is plan. To make this group a place to base itself from. At first i was 'esitant, but in the end it was what needed ta be done.
Ilkorin and I spoke about a week later. It was decided that I would 'ouse this organization and would soon join 'im when i achieved my skill.
Soon the Guardians of Yew was created. Joining it were Morgain of RoS and Ilkorin of RoS. And a simple man with little combat ability named Adian O'Rourke.
For months the GoY worked to clear the area around the area of Yew.
Soon Billiamie 'ad to leave the lands fer a time ( trip overseas ). It was during this time many of the RoS left the stone in search of something else..
Draco DeFalcon and Khelban Blackstaff both found theirselves living among the Travellers Aid Soceity i think it was. The mage Amairgen became an independant mage. Friendly the warrior came seeking a place among the GoY.
The Goy started making a difference.. Where there were Murderers ye found the members of GoY. It got to be quite extreme. I was a younger man back then and moved much faster. With the speed of a young man we crushed many a fool before they could think about what was 'appening..
For about three months this went on. Then one day Ilkorin and Morgain announced they would be leaving.
This left the warrior Friendly and m'self. We looked around and couldnt decide what to do. We went and spoke to Amairgen and 'e decided to join us. And soon i was made Adian O'Rourke Guildmaster of GoY. But what kinda title was GoY? This sounded aweful.

The year was about 1.28bv according to the Tiberian Calender. If'n i remember and figure correctly. Amairgen and I began to speak about the name of the guild. I do not recall which of us said it. But it was decided that the values of RoS shouldnt die.. We were not aware if Billiamie would return or not.. But we decided that the guild should be called the Rangers of the Realm in memory of the old Spiritwood Rangers.
We took to living again on the northern penninsula of Yew. Together we began trying once again to rid the penninsula of the nasties there about.. But it was impossible with just the two of us. So we decided to try and find like minded people such as ourselves.
The quest was on. We first put a message on the baja stratics guild page.. Several people relied to a Ranger guild and many were not our types..
One afternoon i thought about calling up the old RoS members.. Draco and Khelban were living in Yew and not far away. It took some proding them but they finally joined up. Soon we started meeting many people coming to our penninsula to hunt and kill the reds.
News was travelling about that there was a new group of Rangers in the area not tolerating or putting up with the nastiness of the area.
Many nasties showed up as well. Our 'ome became a 'eated battle ground of foolish souls and murderous bastards..
Soon we found our numbers rising and we 'ad more friends among us fighting toe to toe.
During this time it was said The Kingdom of Dawn was in search of groups to allie with to fight the murderers. A small group of Rangers went to this Kingdom in search of such an alliance.
Many groups were there and all of them looking so nice wearing their guild colors and fancy items..
We appeared in battle worn chain and leather armor.. We couldnt afford much more. All our efforts were being spent upon the creation of armor and weapons to fight the waves of murderers.
During this meeting i approached the Lord Desmond Cross and asked for 'is guidance and protection for the innocents on the penninsula. We were cast away from Dawn and told we were not worthy.
To be continued

The years start to run together 'ere so i am unfamiliar with the dates.. After leaving The Kingdom of Dawn, a little down in the dumps RoR decides it is time to start building a community on its own. At first this seemed difficult as crafters were not something we sought after in our ranks.
About a month after the meeting with the Kingdom Billiamie returns from 'is pilgrimage. 'e adopts the title of RoR as well and decides to 'ang up the mantle as guildmaster of RoS. Many others start to circulate in Taylor, Orion, Loren, Sethborne, Chenin, Carruth, Cerno'sen and the list went on and on.
We begin to purchase 'ouse deeds and fight for land spots of falling 'ouses and that aquisition of rares, materials, gold, and other items of use. We in turn sell them in a shoppe we aquired next to the Ocllo Bank.
Soon we are all but moved from Yew to Ocllo with a total of about 20 'ouses on the isle belonging to RoR.. These years i refer to as the golden years..
We begin traders and merchants in ocllo and fight to keep the murderers off the isle. I am unsure for 'ow long it was that we lived upon Ocllo but it was a good time.
We fought the likes of Murderers SIr Charles, Merlin, Wrath of God, Father Juilo and the members of FoA.
We were becoming sloppy and losing our tact for the art of pvp and my own bones were beginning to ache.. Age was catching up with me. Many new warriors were walking the lands. Strong magics they did carry and many other trickeries ( UO Extreme ).
The battle raged on and we began to lose ground as the well oiled machine we once were. And our attention turned more toward the merchanting..
One evening there were about 8-10 of us at the shoppe in Ocllo and a guy comes up and asks "can i join ye all."? We ask 'im what made 'im wish ta join and 'e simply states.. " yer the largest guild in the lands. Yer bigger than any other."
This took many of us by shock.. We 'ad n'er 'eard of the Community board or the top ten guilds list.. And the idea of being the top guild scared the 'ell outta many of us..
Rumor of Trammel 'ad jest began to spark.. We were steady placin 'ouses and giving them to members who were 'omeless. Noone in RoR would go 'omless in the Golden Days..
We fought LoD, Death Jesters, and many other nasty guilds for rights to place 'ouses.. Some say we were pretty good at placin. I say we were jest dedicated. Soon we 'ad everyone 'oused and started selling what we placed to build a gold surplus to purchase deeds for new lands 'ousing..
Before the opening of the new lands came the great undead battle in the streets of Trisnic. The lich lord 'ad taken to leading an undead army to take over some of the cities. Soon many of the cities were overrun and the great battles raged on. Many of RoR were slain but their spirits were brought back unto the living..
The night Trammel opened the Maelstrom 'it knocked us out of the running.. Our castle was lost..The QSA castle rests where ours shoulda been.
Many of our members placed 'omes in the nights to follow.. Many RoR large towers graced the lands.. And all was looking bright.. The only problem was our community was now gone.. We were spread from 'ell to the north sea...
Many of us were tending to our day to day doings and lost track of each other.. These were the Days of the Dead.. RoR started to grow stale. Many of us started seeing less and less of each other. Many began investigating the dungeons they 'ad n'er got to before. Many new things were catching the interest of each of us. continued...

One evening a messenger appears at the Tower below the Maze. Upon 'im is the crest of the great Kingdom of Dawn. Inviting 'im in I summon the Rangers and await them to arrive.
The messenger a man named Spartacus tells of 'is Lord sending 'im to speak to the Rangers.. It appeared that the Kingdom of Dawn was unabe to secure 'oldings in the new lands and was gonna try and stay in the old ones.. The group known as LoD ( Lords of Death ) were slaying anyone of Dawn. And the Great King required an alliance with the largest guild in the lands.
The only problem with this was the old golden rule. Dont step in the faces of those you pass on your way to the top as you might have to kiss their arses on the way back down. Dawn was told we 'ad nothing for them and their messenger sent 'ome.
Over the years RoR 'as rose and fell a few times which i will not go into detail why. Many new faces come and go and some live on in our minds forever. Many great friends were found in some guilds such as the Golden Knights, QSA, WOR, and a few others. But now even these once great guilds lay silent..
I will leave things at this for now and per'aps place detailed notes of old events in the future. If there are any of you who rememer a moment in our past that ye wish to tell about i urge ye to do so.
Through it all we are still 'ere a little worse for worn, per'aps down on the world sometimes, yet still grateful for the years we 'ave spent together.
For those of you that 'ave been with me from the beginning i thank you for this long and glorious journey. For those of you jest arriving... get ready as these old bones aren't dead yet.. We still got work to do..This group shall once again be known for what it is.. A great family of some of the best people in the lands..
Adian O'Rourke ---------- P.S. For those wondering.. I lived fer a year ana 'alf before Ericka joined RoS. Posted by Adian on 8/13/2002, 8:40 pm , in reply to "Re: Where it began...Part three" User logged in as: RoR

Hail, RoR! Greetings, members of RoR. I am new to your worthy group, yet after perusing your writings here, I look forward more now to your comradeship than I did hours ago while standing before the stone with Adian O'Rourke. I made his acquaintance in a casual, subtle way; yet after a life in the woods fighting both beasts and men, I ken perhaps a a few things of what separates the two--and it's more than walking on two legs and speaking. He seemed a gruff sort, but hard at work mining...and leaving granite laying about in piles. I asked him a thing or two, and when he volunteered up the locations of several secret mining spots to gather the green ore verite', I decided he was a decent sort... ...and after an hour of conversation, in such disparate spots as the Horses Head in Jhelom, and the Golden Brew (in Trammel?? no wonder I couldn't find it after I returned from the woods last week...), I decided he was much more than OK, he was a man after my own mind. Upon learning he was associated with this august group, I am only more impressed. I have striven alone in both wilderness and town for some years now, supporting virtue where I found it, nurturing it when I saw it's seeds in the young...always hoping to find like minded folk somewhere in the wilderness, fighting the long fight...and today, in a cave north of Shame, I believe I did. Hail, and well met!

*Sits downs under a shady yew tree and begins to write in her journal* Walking down these roads again doesn’t seem the same as it did 200 years ago, looking back on it now, I realize how much I have been through, trials and tribulations that I never thought I would get threw. I came from Moonglow, a small girl with a bright eyes looking towards the future. Walking around back than, I didn’t have much of anything, few friends; the only true ones would be the trees. They were always there for me; I would spend many hours of the day just wander throughout Moonglow. I knew nothing of the great magic’s people of the land processed, it wasn’t till I got a little older, than I start experimenting with small spells, creating a loaf of bread, or bringing light to the land. For the longest of times, I was a simple girl, I didn’t live to please, and I didn’t don the best clothes in the land or ride beautiful steeds. If you knew me back than, you wouldn’t even know I was a girl, I had light red hair hidden under armor, and robes covering everything I flaunt now. I remember walking to the bank at Moonglow, staring up at this beautiful woman in a skimpy outside on a beautiful steed, she looks at me, and says, “ You do realize image is everything in a woman”… I just looked at her, I had never thought about the way I look to anyone, I was more concerned with just staying alive, and with that, the girl was gone, how naive I was to honestly believe this woman, but me being young, I did, I thought that if I didn’t look good, I had nothing, and I was nothing. So slowly I became less concern with what I could offer the world through my skills and more concern with out I looked, this was a very dark time in my life. I walked around Moonglow island in a dress that look horrible on me, and staring at spell book pages that I used to be accustom with now they looked like foreign objects to be, I was useless. I was like a rare necklace or some expensive but meaningless rare, I was to be looked at, but I offered nothing. I spend many of years wondering around that island hopeless. I met a few people by now, because of course, I looked like I should be talked to now, and they were showing me a world I had never seen before, a world beyond Moonglow Island. They brought me to many huge cities with many new shops, new sites, and most of, new people. I was in complete awe. I never had the chance to see so many people within the confines of one city, and they finally showed me Britain, the capital of Britannia. People were running around screaming their lungs out, trying to sell me everything I have ever wanted. I hated it, but I was not about to say anything, because for superficial people, this was heaven. I didn’t have much gold in my bank, because I hadn’t travel outside of the city limits in some time to sell anything. I had men coming up to me talking about marriage, and little houses on the coast, and anything I could ever want. This completely sickened me. They didn’t know me, well, not the true me. They knew what I wore and how I looked. All of them I declined, making up various reasons. Before when I was younger, I never thought of marriage, let alone men, I didn’t have time, I needed to make a living, and stay alive. What did I have back than? Nothing, a pretty life in an ugly dress that didn’t fit me to well, with enough knowledge to show me where the tailors, and jewelers were. Everyday that went by, as I stood there looking pretty, I yearned for the woods. They were secretly calling my name; telling me to break away from it, from this disgruntle society, before it kills me. I don’t know how many times, I would stand there, thinking up a plan to break away from this conformity and just run, run through those woods till I met a coast, and when I got there, I would turn around, and run back...

And that is just what I did. One day sitting there, listening to them rant about how they needed new sandals or a dye tub for the latest colors, I just got up on my horse and took off. I ran through the woods like the wind on an autumn day, and it felt great. For the first time in my life, I was free. I spent a number of my years outside that city they call Britain, afraid of the future it was offering me. I needed to stay in the woods so that I wouldn’t forget who I really was. One day as I was sitting under a tree, practicing my magic a woman came up to me, she was dressed in a beautifully hued green dress, with a floppy hat, it scared me at first, because I knew what that look meant, but when I studied her closer, I noticed something, she was carrying an axe. She has a feather sticking out of her mouth and she was assembling an arrow. She smiled at me and than said “hello.” I shied away a little, she just looked at me with her huge brown eyes and told me that she wasn’t going to hurt me, and I had no reason to be afraid. I didn’t completely understand what had happen, not only did this woman look beautiful, but she was actually working, doing something with her life. I continued to ask her how she could be so finely dressed and still work like a man, and get dirty. She smiled at me and replied, “ How do you think I get to wear this nice clothing? I work for it, I make arrows for the archers that roam this woods, haven’t you ever heard of a woman working for what she wants?” I sat there in awe for several minutes; I just couldn’t get it out of my head, the fact that she was smart AND beautiful. She slowly began to walk away and flipped her hair and waved good-bye. I wondered for many nights as I slept beneath the stars how to be that girl, but by this time, I have grown older, and I was a lot more mature. I realized that her pure charisma wasn’t in the clothes she wore, or the way she craved an arrows but she was being herself, and the only way to truly capture true beauty, is to realize that your beautiful. It’s recognizing you’re beautiful the way you are. That is a life lesson that I live with to this day. Wondering through the woods outside Britain, I come upon a tower, streaming up to the clouds like nothing I have seen before, I spy upon the sign above the door and it reads simply Kaer O’Rouke, Estate to Adian O’Rourke. I was impressed, not by the home, but by the feeling I got when I walked by it, I knew this to be the home of RoR because I had seen them as a child running around Moonglow Island, not in great numbers, but a few. I gather some pigeons, and sent several message to him about inquiring to join the rangers. He sent me back a white dove, telling me to meet him about joining. Everything I had learned in my life prepared me for this moment. I wasn’t some naive girl, who prides herself in what she wore, but a mature woman, who was proficient in many skills, and the majestic art of magery. I entered the tower with my head held high, and simply greeted Adian with a smile and I said, “Hello, I am Merilonna, I am very pleased to meet you” That’s all I said, nothing more nothing less, at first, he was unsure of my intentions, but they provided true, and he let me join the rangers of the realm. And this is where the story meets, never ends, because I am still full of life. From the time I joined RoR, to now, many things have happened, all to the best. Adian and I have married. He is truly a ranger in the heart, and every time I look at him, I see the spirit of the woods. Many things have happened since those first day in Moonglow, not always the right choices, but they provided vital experience. Life is what you make of it, and like my mother always said, when you don’t like the lemons life throws at you, than make lemonade. You are your life; you are what you make of it. Trials and all, I stand here before my guild, not only my guild, but also my friends. To honestly think a small boyish girl, running around Moonglow can now be hailed as a Glorious Lady, and walk the lands providing them with something good, more than just a pretty face, an example that everyone is beautiful in their own way, the only key to opening that inner beauty is understanding that you are you, you can’t run away from that, but learn to live with it.

Hail and well met friends,
I am Tuesday Chant, I have had the honor of meeting some of you, indeed of fighting alongside you. I look forward to the time when I shall know you all. It has been asked of me to provide a tale of my beginnings, i will say what I can and I am afraid no more than that.
My brother and I were found as children upon the steps of a island monastery.( I have sworn an oath to not reveil the name or location of this holy place, so I hope you will forgive me for not doing so.) There we were raised, it was as life was. For you see we knew of no other way. I was to learn to way of the sisters, one day to pass the tests and take the oath as they all had. But before that day I had much to do and learn. I entered the tutelage of Sister Agnes. A warrior who had joined the SisterHood late in life. But my brother was not to be privy to these things i was not to tell him anything, he or any other man for that matter. Indeed I would not see my dear brother for many weeks at a time. Either because of my lessons being in places he was forbidden or because he himself was away to his books as he still to this day is prone to be. I worked ever harder because of my brothers absence, I wanted to make him proud of me, I wanted his approval more than that of the Sisters that trained me. And so this was my life, until one happy day when, a pale little boy I barely recognized was brought to join my lessons. My brother was to learn alongside of me all but the most secret of lessons. The years that followed were the happiest of all my youth. We would spend each day together, I would show him how strong i had become and he would tell me of the wonders he had read. But then the day came, the Sisters told us, he could progress no further in thier teachings. I was seperated from him again, he went back to his books and I to Sister Agnes and her oaken staff. What followed; the ordeals and lessons learned I cannot speak of, all those months must remain secret.
It was not until the month of my intiation that I saw my dear brother again. He stole away into my quarters and waited for me to return, much as he had done so many times in our youth. Here we would share secrets and tell of the days events. But the story he shared was not a happy one, he was to leave the island on the day of my initation. Once again the sisters were going to send him away from me. It was then that I made my decision. I waited until the day of my ordeal, i passed every test and completed every task. I was put before the Mother Superior and asked to give the Oath.
story to be continued

Hail all I would like to tell my story of my becoming a Ranger.
I was brought to this land as an infant, by the kind and generous Siren. I was placed in the city of Moonglow to grow, and learn the ways of the land. Siren was very kind and provided me with knowledge and the means to learn the skills of survival in this harsh land. As most know Moonglow is the city of Mages so I learned much of the ways of magic. I love music which I am very skilled at. Not long after I arrived Siren was called away to take care of urgent matters and I was left alone, barely able to protect myself from those that would cause harm to a young and nieve soul in this land.
Along came one named Vera, seemed very nice and helpful. Vera provided me with shelter and a place to store my goods. I was very grateful to her for that. I came to find out that my new lodgings were in a place called Fel. I knew not of Fel. or the dangers there of.
Vera help me with my skills, giving me the skills to protect myself against the monsters that patrol the land.
Vera, then turned on me, showed me her true nature. I was no longer a student, but a source of her rath. I spent many months running and hiding trying to stay alive in this cruel place .
This is when I decided that I would not let this happen another soul. I would make it my lifes quest to make sure that nobody sould to have to suffer like I did. I now tour the dungeons and lands looking for those in need. Helping out however I can. I will die myself to make sure that someone else will not have to suffer that fate.
I late night while touring Shame I came across a fine person named Angel Eyes. She was battling hard and seemed to need some help. She took an awful blow and seemed not to be able to move for some time. I stood my ground and made sure that she was ok until she could recover. Shortly after she recovered I was overcome and could not protect myself. She made sure I came back to life and recovered my things, never leaving my side. She even provide me means to recover my mount. That was when I noticed that she was a Ranger. I thought to myself, this is the kind of soul that I want to be, and the type of souls I want to be around.
I inquired about the Rangers. She was very wonderful in providing information to me.
I would like to thank Angel for guiding me to the Rangers, and look forward to learning the Ranger ways and upholding their values.
